Hi again
i am doing tax return and there it is a check list for loans
i have one loan that i book against 2391 in 2024 it will go in 2025
do i need to create manual entry to debt the 2391 and credit with short term loan 2890
Hi again!
Long term loans, loans reaching over one year, goes as long term loans. The part of the loan you will pay off during the coming year, you re-book to a short term loan. Say you have 1 long term loan 31st of december 2024 of 1000 kr and you aim to pay 500 kr during 2025, you rebook 31st december 500 kr from 23xx to an account for short term loans. So you are correct, you have to re-book some of the money. By the way! If the loan is streched over several years, I have a small trick for you that might come in handy. Just let me know.ä
Yes it is a mobile loan and i pay every month 737 kr so definitely it will go 2025 and 2026 help me with the trick
the loan i book on account 2391 and amount is 16962,50 as of 2024-12-31
OK, here we go! This "trick" is as follows:
Then, when you every month pay the 737,00, you book the payment D2921 / C1930 so you automatically deduce the debt from the long term part of the loan. If you do so, you don't have to make a new re-booking this coming December.
I know that in this case it is not a lot of help perhaps, but if you have a loan stretching for many years, it is helpful; you can skip remembering re-booking a short term part of a loan once every year. The less you need to remember, the better.
Best regards,
Lena
Ok this entry i need to create in manual entry in 2025 or 2024
do i need to change anything in 2024?
If you close the yearly books by 31 of December, you make the re-booking D2391 / C2890 by 31/12 -24.
Regarding the monthly payments 2024 and 2025, I guess you already have booked them D2391 / C1930, and if that assumption is correct, you don't need to re-book that part.
Yes exactly so now as i already booked so i dont need to change now anything
😊
